Career Background.
According to an interview he gave with the newspaper Nation – Lifestyle, back in 2016, DJ Afro Amigos had attempted to join the Kenya army on several occasions. But this wouldn’t come to fruition.
He gave up on the police path and began familiarizing with film commentating thanks to the free films he started watching by Factual Films. He would listen to the commentator behind the movie and learn.
Inspired by what he saw; he began his journey in this industry. That was 10 years ago.
He narrated how there was no Television back in the day. So voice over was not possible.
Instead, the 34-year-old remembers how he still grabbed the opportunity and started offering live commentating in video shows. He would be hired for various jobs and paid after providing the service.
All this happened on the outskirts of Nairobi – Rongai, and Kiserian. But this would end later on after he was found to have lied about a sequence of events in a movie.
Left without more jobs, he moved to Nakuru to revitalize his career, in a new fashion. It is here that he started taking on voice over roles in movies.
